Brentford Under-18s head coach Lydia Bedford will welcome a new cohort of scholars as she begins her preparations for pre-season and the upcoming campaign. Jon-Paul Pittman remains her assistant for the new term.

A number of players join the club having already experienced academy football. There are also some players from Brentford FC Community Sports Trust.

Before being eligible to sign their first professional football contract, all players in their under-17 year must commence the season with a scholarship agreement.

Once the players completed the required formalities, we caught up with Michael Adesida, head of academy recruitment, to gain an insight into the new group of scholars.
