Following the conclusion of the South East Youth Alliance League season, Brentford Under-18s will now embark on an eight-game EFL Youth Alliance Merit League 2 campaign.

The competition will be formed by the teams in the bottom halves of the South East and South West Youth Alliance leagues.

The young Bees, along with south east opponents Cambridge United, Gillingham, MK Dons and Northampton Town, will face Bristol Rovers, Exeter City, Forest Green Rovers and Newport County from the south west.

Lydia Bedford’s side will open the campaign against Forest Green on Saturday 9 March in a home fixture, with the season to conclude on Saturday 27 April against Cambridge United.

Kick-off times and locations will be announced in due course.
