Brentford will play their first competitive fixture on Saturday in the EFL South East Youth Alliance League against Sutton United in an 11am kick-off at Aberdour School.
The U18s side welcomed 13 new arrivals during their pre-season schedule which saw the young Bees play three fixtures against Portsmouth, Leatherhead and Phoenix All Stars as well as full-time training at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre giving Lydia Bedford some valuable time with her team before the season begins this weekend.
Entry to the match against Sutton is free of charge.
About Brentford Under-18s
On 7 June the young Brentford team announced 12 new signings to the squad in preparation for the 2023/24 campaign, which will see the side compete in league action as well as the FA Youth Cup and EFL Youth Alliance Cup.
Recently head coach Bedford and assistant coach Jon-Paul-Pittman put the side through their paces during a pre-season camp at Kendrew Barracks for an overnight stay as the side were involved in a variety of military training exercises.
EFL South East Youth Alliance League
The young Bees will play in the South East Youth Alliance League until February 2024 before either competing in Merit League 1 or 2. Merit League 1 will see the teams who finish in the top half of the South East and South West leagues face off whilst Merit League 2 contains sides who finish in the bottom half of the South East and South West.
Jon-Paul Pittman
Last season Brentford finished eighth in the South East Youth Alliance league before finishing their Merit League 2 campaign in fifth position.

Sutton won eight out of 20 games in this competition last season earning them a fifth place finish as they entered Merit League 1 where they picked up two victories.
