It’s been a summer of change at Vitality Stadium.

Andoni Iraola replaced Gary O’Neil as Bournemouth’s head coach in June and has been presented with £110 million worth of new players, including Tyler Adams from Leeds United, Alex Scott from Bristol City and Justin Kluivert from Roma.

Iraola’s side haven’t got going just yet, with two defeats and one draw from their first three Premier League games, but reporter Tom Crocker believes that the majority of Cherries fans are excited by the club's new direction.

Bournemouth have started the season with a 1-1 draw against West Ham, a 3-1 defeat at Liverpool and a 2-0 loss at home to Tottenham. What have you made of what you’ve seen so far?

It has been a tough start, both in terms of results and the fixture schedule. Of the eight fixtures Bournemouth were handed to start this year, they lost all of those corresponding fixtures last season, so it was always going to be difficult, coupled with the fact a number of key players have been out injured.

There have been encouraging signs along the way though, notably the front-foot approach. But I think everyone accepted the first month or so might be tricky results wise.

Andoni Iraola took over as head coach in the summer, replacing Gary O’Neil. How did the fans react to O’Neil’s departure and how has the Spaniard been received?

There was surprise initially, as Gary O’Neil did a good job in keeping the club in the Premier League.

But there has been a lot of excitement at the ambition from the board to make a bold decision and secure a sought-after head coach in Iraola who can try and transform the club’s style and really push them forwards.

Iraola has been received really well so far and most fans seem on board with what he is trying to do.

There has been plenty of investment in the squad this summer, with more than £100 million spent on new players. Some have said Bournemouth have quietly had one of the best windows of all the teams in the Premier League. Would you agree?

I am always reluctant to say a team has done really well in the transfer window until a few games have been played; in the past it may look like clubs have done good business, but on the pitch, it just does not translate.

That said, it cannot be denied that the Cherries have attracted some really exciting young talents in the likes of Milos Kerkez, Alex Scott and Tyler Adams. I am looking forward to seeing how quickly they can improve the team, when they are all settled in.

Which player should Brentford fans keep an eye on?

The player who has really made an eye-catching start to the season is Antoine Semenyo.

Injury hampered Semenyo last season, but he has looked a real handful for defences so far, notably scoring in the loss at Anfield. He seems in confident mood right now.

How is Iraola likely to set up his side in west London?

Despite still having plenty of players missing, including likely starters Marcus Tavernier, Scott and Adams, I expect Iraola to stick with the 4-4-1-1 he has been using all season.

There are not too many options to change the line-up from recent weeks, other than in the attacking midfield areas.

Brentford won the last meeting 2-0 in January. What’s your score prediction for this one?

It is very early days under Iraola and patience will be needed. I expect Bournemouth to improve after the international break, but for this one I can see Brentford edging it 2-1.
