We are delighted to confirm the signing of Angel Waruih who will join Brentford B on a one-year contract with a Club option of an additional year.
The central midfielder signs following a trial period with the young Bees where he featured recently against Fulham Under-21s and AFC Wimbledon.
Angel was part of the youth set up at Plymouth Argyle where he rose through the ranks to feature for their Under-18 side regularly as they became Merit League One champions last season, and they were also runners up in their Youth Alliance league campaign.
The 18-year-old also made his first team debut for the Pilgrims in an EFL Trophy fixture last season as he played 63 minutes in the side’s match with Newport County. He also went on to feature on the bench later during that campaign as Plymouth faced Arsenal Under-23s in the same competition.
Discussing adding Angel to his squad, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Angel has a good character and he will add to the group. We’re looking to develop him in midfield over the course of the season. He has good technical ability, he is very mobile, and we look forward to working with him.
“He’s coming to us having been at Plymouth where he’s had a little bit of first team football, and now he comes to us looking to push on in his development. We’ll focus on Angel playing as a deep central midfielder, but we also know that he has the capability to push further forward and play as a number eight too.”
