Brentford are through to the Last 32 of the Ultimate QuaranTeam Tournament after Lewis Frampton beat Finn Harps 3-1 on Wednesday night in front of more than 2,000 viewers.
He opened the scoring early on through Mathias Jensen, then doubled the lead shortly before half-time with a low strike from Christian Norgaard. The away side netted in the second period but it never looked like Frampton would lose control of the game, with Josh Dasilva making it 3-1 towards the end of the game.
He goes through to play the winner of Blackburn Rovers vs Forest Green Rovers, who face each other on Thursday night at 8pm. Get through that tie and one of Lille or Salzburg await.
The tournament, started by Leyton Orient, is helping to raise money for EFL clubs in trouble given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, as well as for two charities including MIND. The total so far has almost reached £55,000. You can donate here.
