Brentford B will be looking to confirm their place in the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup when they face Peterborough United Under-21s on Monday afternoon at the Weston Homes Stadium in a 1pm kick-off.
The young Bees are top of Group D having won three of their four matches in the competition so far. They know that a point will safely see them through to the knockout stages of the competition, but they’ll be aiming to claim all three as they go in search of a first-place finish in the group.
The young Bees had their previous Premier League Cup game postponed this week against Aston Villa due to a frozen pitch at Woking’s Laithwaite Community Stadium, so they’ll be aiming to round off their 2022 fixtures with a positive display in Peterborough.
Peterborough go into the match third in the table and will be looking to put themselves into contention for a place in the knockout stages if they can claim a win over the Bees.
The sides met just last month when the young Bees beat the Posh 3-2 at the Lamex Stadium. Neil MacFarlane’s side had a three-goal lead after a penalty from Alex Gilbert and two strikes from Ryan Trevitt, before United hit back with two late goals on the night.
Tickets will be available on the day at the stadium with prices as follows:
Adults: £3
Concessions: £1
