We are pleased to announce the signing of Ashley Hay who joins from Southern Premier Division Central side Hitchin Town until January. He will join up with Neil MacFarlane’s Brentford B.

Hay has been on trial with the young Bees over the course of pre-season and has now put pen to paper having impressed during his time with the B team where the 20-year-old netted twice.

His last goal for the side came as the B team beat Real Betis B 1-0 in Spain and he also netted in the opening match of pre-season in the 1-1 draw with Slough Town.

During the 2022/23 campaign the young forward impressed for Hitchin as he helped himself to 11 goals as the side finished 12^th in the league table.

Speaking on Ashley’s arrival, Brentford B head coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Ashley has been in over pre-season and he’s another example of us dipping into the non-league market. He scored a lot of goals for Hitchin last season and that’s what I’m hoping he can add to our team.

“He has proved to be a really good character around the training ground and is a slightly older player in what is a really young group. We also feel that he can add a lot with his presence on and off the field.”
