Brentford Under-21s will look to get back to winning ways on Monday when they welcome Ipswich Town Under-21s to Wheatsheaf Park (1pm kick-off GMT).

Following two victories and a loss in the Atlantic Cup, the young Bees marked their return to Professional Development League action with a draw against Watford.

Neil MacFarlane’s side will be eyeing a strong performance to continue their hunt for top spot in the PDL south group table.

Last time out

The young Bees’ two first-half goals were cancelled out by Watford Under-21s as the sides drew 2-2 at Wheatsheaf Park.

Isaac Holland continued his rich run of form with the opener early in the first 45 minutes, with Romelle Donovan then scoring his first goal in Brentford colours to double the lead.

Two second-half goals from the visitors ensured the points were shared.

The last meeting with Ipswich came in October, with the Bees winning 2-1 and beginning an unbeaten run which would last until a 2-0 loss to CD Mafra Under-23s on 2 February.

The young Bees went 1-0 down early in the game at Portman Road but drew level thanks to a Kyreece Lisbie header.

Iwan Morgan secured all three points for Brentford inside the final 10 minutes.
