Brentford B will face Newcastle United Under-21s on Friday evening in a 6pm kick-off at Hanwell Town’s Powerday Stadium.
Our young Bees were in action in Belgium on Wednesday and as Neil MacFarlane and his staff look to ensure there is competition for places within the group ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League Cup final at the Gtech Community Stadium, they will face the Magpies for the second time this season.

Last time we met
The Bees headed to the north east in February and faced Newcastle’s Under-21s at their training ground. It was the home side who claimed the win on the day with a 4-1 victory following some late strikes.
Last time out
The Bees faced OH Leuven in Belgium earlier this week as they came up against a senior side in what was a brilliant challenge for the group. Brentford were beaten 2-1 after Ryan Trevitt had cancelled out an early Leuven strike. With the match level at 1-1 going into the final four minutes, the Belgian side struck to claim the win.
