Brentford B make the trip to Belgium to face Oud-Heverlee Leuven on Wednesday 3 May with kick-off at 11am local time.

The young Bees go into the match at the King Power At Den Dreef Stadium buoyed by their Premier League Cup semi-final victory and they will be aiming to continue their unbeaten run, which stretches back to the end of March, as they face the side from the Belgian Pro League.

The match will be open to spectators and entry is free of charge.

About OH Leuven

OH Leuven play in the top tier of Belgian football and have recently finished their regular season. The Belgian league operates as a standard league format where 18 teams play against each other twice before there is a play-off split. The top four teams compete in a Championship play-off for the title whilst there is another split for teams placed between fifth and eighth where they compete for European football next season. OH Leuven missed out on a place in the play-offs as they finished in tenth place, two points off Cercle Brugge who finished eighth.

OH Leuven play at the King Power At Den Dreef Stadium which has a capacity of just over 10,000. As well as hosting OH Leuven the stadium also hosts the Belgium women’s national team as well as the men's under-21 side.

Marc Brys is in charge of OH Leuven and he has a managerial career which dates back to the late 1990s. He worked with Belgian sides such Londerzeel and Berchem Sport before taking charge of Dutch sides FC Eindhoven and Den Bosch. Brys has also managed in Saudi Arabia between 2012 and 2015 before returning to manage in his home country. He then took the role with Leuven in 2020.

Last time out

It was a fantastic night for the young Bees last time out as they progressed to the final of the Premier League Cup with a win over West London neighbours Fulham. Alex Gilbert and Tristan Crama got the all-important goals as Neil MacFarlane’s side claimed a 2-1 win. Watch the best of the action below.

As stated above, the match is open to spectators so if you are in the Leuven area then entrance can be gained for the 11am kick-off for free. Want to follow from home? We’ll have updates across social media as well as a full report and match highlights.
