Bedfont Sports 0 Brentford B 5- Thursday, 4 July 2019
With a new B Team Head Coach at the helm in Neil MacFarlane, the young Bees got to work in their new campaign with a short trip to Bedfont Sports where they picked up an impressive win in Feltham. One of the Trialists found the net before Reece Cole got on the scoresheet prior to his departure to Partick Thistle on loan. Joe Hardy picked up where he left off from the season before as he netted a brace before young Swede Fredrik Hammar found the net. Match Report
Chelsea XI 7 Brentford B 1- Saturday, 13 July 2019
A heavy pre-season defeat in Cobham against a strong Chelsea XI saw the young Bees well beaten. The Blues took control of the game by going ahead on 10 minutes and they did it in a fixture which took place over three 30-minute periods. Match Report
Braintree Town 0 Brentford B 4- Tuesday, 16 July 2019
First half goals from Gustav Mogensen and Ali Coote as well as second half strikes from Jayden Onen and Jaden Brissett gave the young Bees the win at Cressing Road as they got back to winning ways in what was a dominant display. Match Report
Wealdstone 2 Brentford B 0- Saturday, 27 July 2019
The likes of Joe Adams, Arthur Read and Julien Carre got their first outings in Brentford shirts but it was a game which ended in defeat for the side as Ross Lafayette grabbed both goals for the hosts. It was a match where the young Bees weren't able to really make things count in the attacking third as the non-league side prevailed. Match Report
Arsenal Under-23s 5 Brentford B 0- Tuesday, 30 July 2019
The young Bees travelled to Arsenal, and whilst the score line perhaps flattered The Gunners somewhat, Brentford were punished by the clinical North London side in a game where Neil MacFarlane’s side produced some really good moments in the game. Match Report
Brentford 0 Puerto Pro FC 0- Wednesday, 7 August 2019A trip to Denmark saw the young Bees in action against Puerto Pro FC in a cagey affair in Western Jutland. There was a 40-minute break between the two halves due to stormy conditions, and once play resumed Brentford were unable to go ahead with Christian Tue Jensen going close with two second half free-kicks, but it was ultimately a goalless draw against the South American side. FC Midtjylland Reserves 2 Brentford B 3- Friday, 9 August 2019
The second match in Denmark saw the young Bees take on the Reserve side from FC Midtjylland, with 10-man Brentford sealing the win. The entertaining affair had it all, including a red card, a disallowed opener, a penalty save and five goals! Match Report
Double draw in Denmark tournament- Sunday, 11 August 2019
Brentford B came away goalless after their final 90 minutes in Denmark. First, The Bees drew 0-0 with Puerto Pro in 45 minutes, and they then secured the same result against hosts FC Midtjylland. Puerto had won their earlier game 1-0 thanks to a strike in the 11th minute. FCM couldn't get back into the game despite hitting the crossbar late on. The series of results meant the Colombian side emerged victorious overall on the day, Brentford taking second and FCM third. Match Report
Brentford B 2 West Ham United Under-23s 2- Tuesday, 20 August 2019
A match at Griffin Park was always a special moment for our young players. In late August they met an under-23 side from West Ham in an entertaining game which ultimately finished level. Jaden Brissett’s opener was cancelled out before Jan Žambůrek put The Bees back in front in the second period. Once again, the side were pegged back by The Hammers who managed to secure the draw. AFC Bournemouth Under-23s 3 Brentford B 1- Thursday, 29 August 2019
A trip to the Canford Park Arena saw the young Bees beaten by Bournemouth with Jaden Brissett grabbing Brentford’s only goal from the penalty spot. The Cherries raced to a 2-0 lead in 21 minutes before Brissett’s spot kick halved the deficit, but Brentford were unable to build on that goal as Bournemouth added a third just after the hour. Queens Park Rangers Under-23s 1 Brentford B 4- Friday, 30 August 2019
A fixture just one day later saw another crop of Brentford players travel to Harlington for a West London derby. The impressive win saw Dru Yearwood grab two goals whilst Ali Coote and one of the Brentford Trialists also grabbed goals as the young Bees impressed as the likes of Dom Thompson got an important 90 minutes under his belt. SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER
Brentford B 1 Wycombe Wanderers XI 2- Tuesday, 3 September 2019
The young Bees came up against a strong Wycombe side at Jersey Road in early September with a starting XI which boasted 900 professional appearances between them. The young Bees more than held their own but were narrowly beaten despite a headed goal from defender Jonny Mitchell. Match Report
Brentford B 0 Luton Town XI 1- Tuesday 17 September
Another match a Griffin Park saw the likes of Ethan Pinnock, Josh Dasilva and Kamohelo Mokotjo feature for Brentford B as they welcomed The Hatters. The game was won by Callum McManaman in the first half whilst Dasilva saw his penalty saved by James Shea after the break. Match Report
Peterborough United XI 1 Brentford B 0- Tuesday, 24 September
Siriki Dembélé’s early penalty was the deciding factor as Brentford B suffered defeat at the hands of Peterborough United. On weight of chances, Neil MacFarlane’s side were well worth at least a draw but Conor O’Malley in the home goal was in no mood to be beaten. Match Report
Beckenham Town 0 Brentford B 6- Wednesday, 25 September 2019
A London Senior Cup First Round fixture with Beckenham saw the young Bees impress with six goals and a clean sheet. A Christian Tue Jensen hat-trick helped the side into the Second Round, whilst Mads Roerslev, Jaden Brissett and Gustav Mogensen also found the net. Match Report
Aberdeen Reserves 1 Brentford B 3- Sunday, 29 September 2019
A dominant first half display from the young Bees saw them race to a three-goal lead with two strikes from Gustav Mogensen and one from Christian Tue Jensen. A much more even second half saw Aberdeen have chances themselves but could only pull one goal back through Luc Bollan. Match Report
Hibernian Reserves 3 Brentford B 2- Wednesday, 2 October 2019
Brentford B’s short stay in Scotland came to an end with a narrow defeat at Easter Road against Hibernian Reserves. Hibs got themselves into a commanding position as they lead 3-0 in the first half, but Brentford managed to pull one back before the break through Jaden Brissett’s penalty. A much-improved second period saw a much more even affair as Gustav Mogensen made it 3-2 with a fantastic strike, but they were unable to go the distance and level the score come the end of the 90 minutes. The young Bees ran riot at Jersey Road with goals from the likes of Matej Majka, Jaden Brissett, Aubrel Koutsimouka, two Trialists and Christian Tue Jensen in what was a dominant display against the Academy side. Match Report
Brentford B 3 Reading Under-23s 1- Wednesday, 23 October 2019
Two Jaden Brissett goals and an own goal gave Neil MacFarlane’s side a Griffin Park win under the lights against Reading in what was a deserved victory for the group. Match Report
Hanwell Town 2 Brentford B 2 (Brentford B win 4-2 on pens)- Saturday, 26 October 2019
A trip to the Powerday Stadium in the Middlesex Senior Cup saw the young Bees progress from the First Round with a penalty shootout win. The side found themselves 2-0 down but they battled back with goals from Jaakko Oksanen and Christian Tue Jensen to make it 2-2 ahead of a penalty shootout where Patrik Gunnarsson made two saves. Brentford 6 Bromley 2- Monday, 28 October 2019
The positive run of results continued as the side welcomed National League side Bromley to Jersey Road. Dru Yearwood netted a hat-trick as Brentford B came from behind with the likes of Joe Hardy, Tom Field and Jayden Onen also finding the net. Match Report
NOVEMBER AS BEES HEAD TO SPAIN AND SCOTLAND
Albacete Under-19s 0 Brentford B 4- Tuesday, 5 November 2019
Brentford B’s five-day trip to La Manga saw them play two fixtures, the first of which saw the side impress against Albacete. It was a match which Neil MacFarlane’s side dominated from start to finish as Julien Carré, Gustav Mogensen, Arthur Read and Joe Adams all found the net. Match Report
FC Cartagena 3 Brentford B 2- Thursday, 7 November 2019
Brentford B rounded off their tour of Spain with a narrow 3-2 defeat to FC Cartagena in La Manga. The Bees fell behind to a Jose Angel goal but levelled shortly after through Japhet Sery Larsen. Angel got his second of the game just moments later and the Spanish side added another in the second period through Jovanovic. Gustav Mogensen then grabbed Brentford’s second but they were unable to find a third to level things. Match Report
Celtic Reserves 1 Brentford B 2- Tuesday, 26 November 2019
A trip to Glasgow saw the young Bees pull off one of their standout performances as they battled to a victory in a wet and windy setting in Scotland. Armstrong Oko-Flex cancelled out Arthur Read’s opener before a Jaden Brissett penalty won the game for Brentford. Match Report

Back in London, Brentford B travelled to take on AFC Wimbledon where once again they caught the eye with an impressive display. Despite falling behind, the team came back to win with goals from Ali Coote (2) and Jaden Brissett. Match Report
Harrow Borough 1 Brentford B 7- Tuesday, 3 December 2019
Brentford B progressed in the London Senior Cup with an emphatic 7-1 win over Harrow Borough. Gustav Mogensen netted a hat-trick whilst Joe Adams scored twice, and there were also goals for Arthur Read and Jaden Brissett on the night. Match Report

A Jaden Brissett penalty earned Brentford B a draw against Grasshopper Club Zürich Under-21s in a friendly at Jersey Road. The winger’s spot kick cancelled out a stunning strike from Kevin Monzialo but neither side were able to edge in front. Match Report

Bordeaux XI 3 Brentford B 1- Wednesday, 15 January 2020
A trip to France saw the side disappointed as Bordeaux picked up the win with an early goal from Amadou Traore before Gabriel Lemoine and Loic Bessile scored in the second half. Arthur Read ensured Brentford would get on the scoresheet but his late goal wasn’t enough as the side fell to defeat. Match Report
FC Seoul 3 Brentford B 3- Sunday, 19 January 2020
A few days later, Brentford B were in the Algarve for a week’s stay where they would play three fixtures. The first match saw them come up against FC Seoul in a thrilling encounter. Two Gustav Mogensen goals put the young Bees in the ascendancy before their opponents pulled one back just before half-time through Yang Yumin. Matej Majka then added a third when he finished well in the second half but goals from Han Chanhee and Park Dongjin ensured the game would end level. Match Report

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the win over Rangers was Brentford B’s final match of their 2019/20 campaign due to the pause in football and the subsequent lockdown. The side returned to Jersey Road towards the end of the summer to begin preparations for the 2020/21 season.
