Brentford Under-21s' winning streak came to a halt following an exciting 3-3 draw away from home.

Despite leading by two goals to nil at the break, the Swans fought back to ensure the points were shared, scoring two minutes from the end of the game to get their third.

Sam Saunders took charge of the side as they sought yet another victory following a run of four wins in all competitions.

Brentford began the game in confident fashion, maintaining possession of the ball, whilst the home side were content in remaining in their shape.

Iwan Morgan opened the scoring in fine fashion, whipping a first-timed shot into the top corner against his former team.

Chanse Headman should have given the boys a 2-0 lead but miscued his free header inside the penalty area.

The boys were in firm control of the game as the Swans struggled to get out of their half.

Headman had another header from yet another cross but he failed to find the target as a second for the Bees did not seem too far away.

The chances continued to come for Brentford as Morgan went close to getting his second but a goaline clearance ensured the away side were still only one goal ahead.

Riley Owen delivered a sensational chipped cross into the box which found the head of Morgan but Swansea goalkeeper Ben Hughes made a sensational reflex stop to deny the Welshman.

In-form striker Ashley Hay should have given the away side the cushion their play deserved but he smashed a shot wide with only the keeper to beat.

On the stroke of the half-time whistle though, the young Bees got the goal they deserved through Lisbie. The winger latched onto a Ben Krauhaus through ball and smashed into the back of the net.

Brentford picked up from where they left off in the first period as two minutes into the second-half, Ethan Laidlaw sliced a shot which went harmlessly wide despite having much more time.

Despite all the control to begin the second period, it was the home side who scored the next goal as Morgan Bates turned unmarked and found the corner.

They levelled the scores soon after in a bizarre two minutes as Sammy Henia-Kamau diverted a cross into the net, beating Reggie Rose at his near post.

The tide had turned momentarily in favour of the home side but following a triple change from Sam Saunders, Brentford went back ahead in the tie through one of his substitutes Caelan Avenell.

The defender found himself at the back post, finishing well from close range to restore our lead.

Two minutes from time, the Swans levelled yet again as Ben Lloyd whipped a shot from outside the box past the goalkeeper.

The game would end in a draw as Brentford’s winning streak came to a halt.
