Time is running out for young footballers that fancy their chances of winning a professional contract to sign up for Brentford Football Club’s open trials.

The Club’s Academy is running a two-day trial for players aged 16 to 21 on December 13 and 14.

Eligible players are those born between September 1 1992 and August 31 1998.

Players in the Under-16 to Under-18 groups will attend on Saturday December 13 and those in the Under-19 to Under-21 age groups will attend on Sunday December 14.

The afternoon session for outfield players in the Under-19 to Under-21 age range, on December 14, is now full.

Only four spaces for goalkeepers remain on that session.

The other sessions are also filling fast so players are advised to secure their spot soon.

The trial will see players put through their paces at Brentford’s Jersey Road Training Ground.

All players will get training with the coaching team at Brentford’s Category Two Football Academy, working with some of the finest development coaches in London.

Every attendee will also be exposed to match scenarios.

There will be individual written feedback after the game and the best will be invited to play in a match against Brentford's Elite Academy Squad.

Anyone who reaches the required level will be invited back for further training with the chance to earn a professional contract with Brentford FC.

In the past two years five players have been invited to train with Brentford for a week and given a chance to earn a full-time professional deal after impressing on the trial.

The trial is for outfield players and goalkeepers but applicants should be aware that there are limited spaces for goalkeepers available.

A £40 fee will be charged for the trial. More information is available on the Open Trial flyer - Brentford FC Open Trials December 2014

Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis so book early to avoid disappointment.
