Brentford FC has today launched its Season Ticket campaign and plans for the 2022/23 season.
Brentford FC remains committed to affordable football to help ensure that the game remains accessible for all. Season Ticket prices across all categories have therefore been held in line with the list prices for the 2021/22 season, making Brentford Community Stadium one of the most affordable places to watch football in the capital.
Jon Varney, Chief Executive of Brentford FC, said: “Demand has been exceptionally high this season with it being our first year in the Premier League. Our supporters have waited for many years to see our return to the top-flight and it was so cruel that COVID meant they were forced to wait so long to cheer on the Bees in our new stadium after also being denied a proper farewell to Griffin Park.
“Our fans’ continued backing over the next few months will be critical as we aim for a strong finish to the season. We also thank both BIAS and Bees United for their constructive input in the Season Ticket renewal planning process.
“Throughout the pandemic, we’ve tried to be fair to our fans and they have repaid us with their loyalty and commitment. We can’t thank them enough for that. As games were played behind closed doors, complimentary iFollow passes were offered for the full season along with refund options and payment deadline extensions. We also shelved our planned 25 per cent increase for Premier League football and have done so again for next season.
“It’s now time to cast our eyes towards next season and we are very pleased to launch our Season Ticket plans for 2022/23. It’s the only way to guarantee that you won’t miss a match at Brentford Community Stadium as we continue our journey forward.
“While it was a huge effort to move into the new stadium, our work there hasn’t stopped. We are investing to make the matchday experience for our fans better. We are upgrading our digital platforms, investing a significant sum to prepare for safe standing in the West Stand and away end and working with our staff to raise service levels. Our matchday income, whilst modest compared to other Premier League clubs, is vitally important and will help us achieve all of that.
“In saying that, despite the Club, like many, facing a significant increase in costs, we’ve decided not to increase our prices on last season.”
The Early Bird discount has now been discontinued which Jon explained: “Historically, we have incentivised early renewal payments by offering an Early Bird option. This was based on the need to bring income into the Club at an important time of the year and the levels of demand. This model is obsolete now and going forward we believe that it is fairer that all Season Ticket Holders pay the same prices within each ticketing category.”
Based on 19 home games, it means that prices for U11s in the Family Area will work out at less than £4 per match. For adults attending in our most popular Band B pricing category, it will work out at around £24 per game. Jon said: “These prices are hard to beat anywhere in the Premier League.”
All prices and deadlines remain the same regardless of what league Brentford plays in next season.
Payment plans will also be offered on a ‘no interest, no admin fee’ basis.
After two years of disruption to the standard Season Ticket renewal process, Brentford will also revert to a mainly online renewal process and timeline. The renewal process is open immediately to all current Season Ticket Holders who have until 5pm on Wednesday 16 March to keep their existing seat for next season. If you intend to use one of the payment plan options available please review the payment dates for your preferred option.
As was confirmed last week, the Club will also be converting the West Stand with the installation of barriers across that part of the stadium. Jon continued: “If the trials across the country and our licence application are successful, and we have no reason to believe that they won’t be, then the West Stand and Block S100 in the South Stand will become our safe standing area. In the unlikely event that the legislation does not proceed, then the barrier installation will still take place as we believe it will enhance spectator safety in areas where we have seen persistent standing.”
Season Ticket Holders who are currently based in the proposed safe standing areas but would prefer to sit will be given an opportunity to move out of the area. Then those in other parts of the stadium who want to move into the proposed safe standing areas will also be given a chance to do so. Full details will be emailed to fans and can also be found here.
For Season Ticket Holders who are interested in upgrading to our Premium area, we have a small number of seats available. For more details, please contact our Premium team on 020 8380 9930 or email [email protected]. Existing Premium Seat Holders do not need to take any action as they move into the second season of their licence period.
