Brentford have signed England Under-21 international defender Liam Moore on loan from Leicester City.
The 22-year-old completed the move today, Thursday January 26, and will train with Brentford ahead of the Sky Bet Championship match against Birmingham City on Saturday
His loan will run until the end of the season.
It is Liam’s second loan at Brentford.
He spent around two months with The Bees in early 2013, playing seven games.
Since then he has helped Leicester to promotion to the Premier League and featured regularly during their current top flight campaign.
He has also established himself as an England Under-21 regular.
Mark Warburton, Brentford FC Manager, said: “Liam is well known to us after his loan two years ago.
“He has continued his rapid development and established himself with England Under-21s.
“He has also played 11 Premier League games this season.
“Liam is a very talented young defender.
“We were very aware that we were exposed to injury and lack of cover in the central defensive position.
“Liam will be a welcome addition and adds real competition for places as we enter the final stretch of what has been a good season so far.
“Liam had other options and could have gone to other top six Championship clubs.
“We are delighted he has chosen to join us here at Brentford.”
Liam came through the youth ranks at Leicester and was part of the City team that reached the FA Youth Cup Quarter Final in 2011.
The 22-year-old, who has also played for England at Under-17 level, spent four months on loan at Bradford City in 2011.
He made his Leicester debut early in 2012 and has now racked up more than 50 league appearances for The Foxes, the majority in the last two seasons.
Liam has won 11 England Under-21 caps and has been a regular as the young side qualified for the UEFA European Under-21 Championships this summer.
