A player from Brentford’s Academy has been called up for an England training camp.

Josh Bohui will join up with the national squad for an Under-16 gathering in January.

The teenager will be with the England squad from Tuesday January 6 until Thursday January 8.

No matches are scheduled for the three day get together but a squad will be selected soon after for matches in February.

Josh is the second Academy player to get England recognition this season after Harry Francis was called to an England Under-15 training camp.

Ross McMahon was also called up for a Scotland Under-16 training camp.

Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, said: “It is brilliant news for Brentford to have a player in another player in the England training squad, and great for Josh.

“It is clear that national selectors are looking at what is happening at Brentford.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Josh.

“Not only will it give him a chance to get international honours down the line, he can represent Brentford FC.

“It is a great day for everyone in the Academy and everyone within the Club as a whole.

“I wish Josh all the best and hope he can produce the football that he has done for us so far.”

Josh has played eight Under-18 Professional Development League Two South games this season, despite qualifying for the Under-16 squad.

He has scored one goal and was part of the Brentford team that came close to beating Barcelona in October.
