Azza Fouly continues her journey with the Egypt national team ahead of their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The women’s first team goalkeeper has already played five times for Egypt’s U20 side over the course of the last three months.

Fouly made her debut for the U20 side in a friendly against Morocco in October where she kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win. She went on to play two more times for the youth side in the World Cup qualifiers against Sao Tome, again keeping clean sheets as Egypt won both games 7-0 and 11-0.

The Brentford no.1 is yet to feature for Egypt’s senior side but was in the squad for both of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Sudan.

On November 10, Fouly led the U20’s out as captain in a World Cup qualifier first-leg fixture against Congo with the game ending in a 1-1 draw. The keeper was back in action on 17 November for the second-leg of the fixture which Egypt won 6-0.

Fouly will now link up with the senior team for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Senegal on 27 November and 4 December.
