Brentford Women play their second match of the season on Sunday 28 August as they travel to Dorking Wanderers looking to continue their positive start to the campaign in the LSE Regional WFL Division One North in a 3:30pm kick-off.

The Bees began the season with a 2-1 win over Clapton Community as they came from behind to seal the victory with goals from Chloe Webb and Nikki Saunders. Next up is a Dorking side who had a great start to their campaign with a 7-0 victory over Denham United. There were two goals for Sarah Chapman and Cherelle Khassel whilst Xayla-Rae Alberts, Cindy Colliver and Charlotte Keenan all found the net.

Karleigh Osborne’s thoughts

Brentford Women’s Manager Karleigh Osborne made an appearance on Pre-Match Pint Last Orders recently to discuss pre-season and the strong start to the campaign.

He explained: “It’s been good, we’ve been trying to get the right players in. We’ve lost a couple who were real standouts for us, but we’ve brought in some fantastic talent, so I think it’s one of our strongest squads that we’ve had since I’ve been working here. The girls know what the deal is, they need to go and get promotion and there are no other thoughts than that.

“We had a great start at the weekend to get us going. The team is still coming together and we’re working to find out our best team because we’ve got such a bundle of talent which gives me a selection problem. Overall, they know what they need to do and we’re going to push for it.”
