A trip to east London awaits Brentford Women on Sunday as they travel to face Clapton Community.
The clash will be the first between the two sides this season, with the reverse fixture to come on 5 May at Bedfont Sports Club.
Brentford and Clapton come into the clash third and fourth in the table respectively, equal on 34 points, however the Bees have three games in hand on Clapton.
The game kicks off a busy seven-day period for Karleigh Osborne’s side, who welcome Richmond Park to Wheatsheaf Park next Wednesday night, followed by a clash with Sport London E Benfica at Bedfont Sports Club next Sunday.
About Clapton Community
Clapton come into Sunday’s game fourth in the table with 11 wins, a draw and five losses.
The side have been in good form of late, winning four of their last five games, the most recent of those a 2-0 victory over Denham United.
They possess the third-best goal differential in the league, currently sitting at +28, behind only Brentford (+45) and Sport London E Benfica (+42).
The contribution from players has been even across the season, Olateju Callisto leading the way with 15 goals, while Marta Casanovas and Maria Mendonca have each scored 12 goals.
Last time out
The Bees fought out a tough 3-1 away win over Hackney last time out, with Jodie Reid, Freya Worsley and Kirsty Matthews each netting once.
Tough conditions met Brentford, with a strong wind blowing towards one end of the pitch. While Osborne’s side dominated possession for much of the game, a gritty Hackney side made it hard on the Bees in the final third.
Wins over Denham United (3-0) and Ashmount Leigh (6-1) preceded that win, each of them a part of Brentford’s 15-game winning streak.
