Brentford Women’s FA Cup first qualifying round last season was one to remember, the side picked up a 5-4 win against Woodley United in what was one of the games of the season at Bedfont Sports Club.
Karleigh Osborne will be looking for a response from his team following a disappointing start to the campaign. The Bees were beaten 3-2 on the opening day of the season before playing out a 2-2 draw last weekend against Hackney Women.
Last time out
Brentford were left frustrated after Hackney came back from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw. The Bees showed their quality in the opening half as the side went into the break looking comfortable with a 2-0 lead following strikes from Chloe Logie and Ella Cottrell.
The hosts had several opportunities to put the game out of sight but when Hackney pulled one back on the hour mark, the pressure was on. The visiting team snatched a late equaliser six minutes into injury time leaving Osborne’s side disappointed.
