Brentford begin their League Cup campaign on Sunday when they travel to Dulwich Health Club to face Dulwich Hamlet Reserves in a 1.30pm kick-off.

The clash will see the two London South East Division One North sides face off for the second time this with a place in the third round of the competition up for grabs.

Karleigh Osborne’s side will be keen to get back to winning ways following their narrow defeat in the FA Cup last weekend.

Nikki Woods enters this Sunday’s game in red hot form with the forward finding the net seven times in her last five games.

Last time out

Brentford were edge out to a 4-3 defeat against National League side Southampton Women last weekend in a thriller at Bedfont Sports in front of a large crowd.

The Bees found themselves three goals down in the opening 30 minutes of the game but fought back to level the score line at 3-3 by 55 minutes after a great header from Matthews and two wonder strikes from Woods.

Neither side were able to claim the victory in 90 minutes with the game going into extra-time. With the match looking destined for penalties Southampton found the net in the 115 minutes breaking Brentford hearts and claiming their place in the third round of the FA Cup.

Despite the 2-1 defeat to the Bees at the beginning on October, Dulwich have had an impressive league campaign so far.

They currently sit top of the league on 22 points, winning seven of their games but have played 11 games to Brentford’s six.

Their most recent fixture saw the side pick up a 2-1 victory against Hackney.

Brentford Women B return to Bedfont Sports Club for a JGMT clash against Civil Service Women on Sunday from 3pm.

The Bees will look to continue their unbeaten run this season and record their ninth straight win.

It was a spectacular performance from the B team in their most recent fixture which saw the side beat Actonians Thirds 9-0 in the Capital Cup.

A first half hat-trick from Holly Hawkes stole the show with strikes from Nia Bowman, Kasey Clifford, a Shania Foley double and two more goals from Hawkes wrapping up a perfect day for the side.
