Brentford Football Club has made alterations to the ticketing arrangements for the pre-season friendly against Scottish Premier League Champions Celtic next week.

The Glasgow side, who reached the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League last season, will visit Griffin Park on Saturday July 20.

The game will kick off at 3pm and will be Brentford’s highest profile pre-season match for a number of years.

Celtic have almost sold out of tickets for the Brook Road end of the ground and The Bill Axbey Stand, on the New Road side of the ground.

Brentford fans have bought just over 1,000 tickets.

Following discussions with the police, the Club has decided to give Celtic exclusive use of The BIAS Stand, at the Ealing Road end of the ground.

The Bees United Stand, on the Braemar Road side of the ground, will remain exclusively for Brentford fans and only those with a previous purchasing history at the Brentford FC Ticket Office will be able to buy in this area.

Any Bees fan who has bought a ticket for The BIAS Stand terrace should enter the ground via the Braemar Road turnstiles on the day of the game – entering through the turnstile of the block they would like to sit in – and they will be given one for The Bees United Stand at no extra cost.

Celtic fans using The BIAS Stand will enter the ground via the exit gate on Ealing Road – no visiting fans will enter through the Braemar Road turnstiles.

The match has now been made ALL TICKET and no tickets will be sold on the day of the match.

These new arrangements have also enabled the Club to reduce the bill for policing for the match.

Ticket prices will remain the same.

Ticket prices will be as follows:

Adults £25

Concessions £20

Concession tickets will be available for those under the age of 18 and those aged 60 and over.

No other concessions will be available.

TICKETS FOR THE MATCH ARE ON SALE NOW.

Brentford FC Chief Executive Mark Devlin said: “As we said last month, the primary reason for the 2013 pre-season programme was for the team to have the best build-up possible to the new season.

“Celtic were available to come to Griffin Park but only at a substantial cost to the Club and we had to set out a business plan to ensure we could play the game, give Manager Uwe Rösler and the players the best build-up to the season possible and not lose money.

“We want to give everybody who wants to see the game a chance to do so.

“Brentford fans have bought around 1,000 tickets so far and we have had to turn away Celtic fans who want to buy.

“We believe we can fit every Brentford fan who wants to see the game in to The Bees United Stand while maintaining a segregated area and keeping a traditional Brentford stand for Bees fans.

“I would like to thank the police for assisting us with these new arrangements and for reducing our costs at the same time

“I would ask those Brentford fans that would like to see the game to purchase their tickets as soon as possible and help create a great atmosphere at Griffin Park on July 20."

Tickets are available from the Club’s Ticket Office at Griffin Park, which is open from 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday.

They can bought in person or ordered by telephone on 0845 3456 442 – option 4.
