Chloe Logie has proven to be a standout performer since breaking into the Brentford Women’s First Team set-up at the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign.

The Women's top scorer who signed for the club back in December 2021 made a name for herself in the Women’s B Team before progressing to the First Team and becoming a key player.

After looking for a new challenge in football, Logie explains why she decided to join Brentford and how she was finding life at her new club in the early stages.

“I believed I was ready to progress and play at a higher level than I was previously, and Brentford felt like the right fit.

“Before signing for the club, I watched a few games, everyone was so welcoming and made me feel part of the team even before I joined so I knew it was the right place for me.

The striker played the second half of the 2021/22 season in the Women’s B Team where she impressed and developed under Head Coach, Tommy Ryan-Maynard.

“I really enjoyed playing for the B Team, I felt the togetherness within the team helped me develop as I quickly became relaxed around all the players.

“Playing under Tommy helped me prepare for First Team football, my confidence grew so much as I became more familiar on how the B Team play their football which then led to me scoring goals.”

The Women’s B Team ply their trade in the Greater London Women’s Football League Division One North where they work on producing players who will then be filtered into the First Team.

This season has been a great success for the B Team with a number of their player's becoming more involved with Karleigh Osborne’s First Team.

Osborne has given three B Team players their First Team debut’s already this campaign as they look to improve their squad using their own talent within the club.

Logie explained how she felt when she found out the news that she would be leading the line for the First Team in the 2022/23 season.

“I was over the moon, it was a massive confidence boost as the coaches were clearly pleased with my performances in the B Team.

“My main goal in football is to play at the highest level possible so to play with quality players within the First Team has been great.”

The number nine made an instant impact since moving up a team, scoring 13 goals in just 15 games, with her best performance coming in the 4-2 win against Denham United. The 17-year-old scored all four goals as she completely blew away the opposition in unbelievable fashion in October’s league clash.

“I’m really happy with the way I have developed this season; I feel that my game has gone to another level, and I have all the First Team staff to thank for that.

“Brentford is definitely the right place for me to improve my game, I've enjoyed every minute since signing for the club and I look forward to what the future holds.”

The Women’s First Team have had a solid season so far, but their promotion hopes took a hit after two defeats to title rivals Dorking Wanderers.

However, the Bees currently sit top of the London South East Regional Women’s Football League Division One North table having played three more games than Dorking as we enter the Christmas break.

Logie continued: “We’ve had a good season so far, to be top of the league at Christmas is an achievement itself but there have been certain games where we haven’t met our own standards which is disappointing.

“Heading into the new year the main goal is obviously to maintain our position in the league and win every game that we play.

“I’ve been happy with my own performances but I’m looking to score even more goals and help the team out as much as I can.”

Logie’s goals have been key for the First Team this season with the Head Coach labelling her as an “unbelievable talent” however, the youngster insists she still has more to offer.

“I know I still have room for improvement I’ve had a good start to the season, but I want to do even better when we come back in the new year.

“I’m aiming to get at least 20 goals this season and hopefully do enough to help secure the team promotion.”
