Brentford Football Club Manager Uwe Rösler and Chief Executive Mark Devlin pushed the button to light up the town last week.
Last week, the Club stepped in to ensure Brentford would be lit up this Christmas.
The Club had been informed there would be a reduced Christmas lights display in Brentford this year due to a lack of funds.
The Brentford High Street Steering Group received no other external funding for 2012 Christmas lights and funds raised have been concentrated on celebrating the London Olympic Games and the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in the summer.
Brentford FC donated £1,500 to the lights fund and Uwe and Mark turned on the festive display last Friday at an event at Watermans.
RASPO, a steel band, pictured, performed Caribbean music and carols while Green Dragon School’s choir sang and a small forest of Christmas trees that will light up at the front of Watermans.
