Brentford FC has received a bronze award in the Think Fan Engagement’s Fan Engagement Index for the 2023/2024 season.
The index assesses the quality of fan engagement in all English men’s football clubs. Brentford placed highest in the table out of all Premier League clubs at 12th. Everton and Brighton and Hove Albion were 13th and 14th respectively.
League One side Exeter City topped the table, followed by Carlisle United and Lincoln City, who all picked up gold awards in the index.
The Fan Engagement Index is created by assessing publicly available via clubs, leagues and other websites and sources. The full index can be found here.
Brentford has worked closely with fans throughout its history. The club’s work in fan engagement includes several measures. This includes the club’s Fan Advisory Board (FAB) which meets regularly, having a fans’ representative on the main club board, conducting regular fan surveys and a series of working groups with supporters on a range of topics including ticketing, sustainability, inclusion and matchday experience.
Sally Stephens, Brentford’s fan and community relations director, said: "At Brentford, we really value the connection that we have with our fans, and we’re glad to see this recognised in the Fan Engagement Index, with the club ranking highest of the Premier League clubs in this index.
“While we're proud of this achievement, we know there is always room for improvement. Brentford is committed to making sure that our supporters' voices continue to shape the direction of the club.
"This award reflects our ongoing efforts to engage with fans and ensure that everyone feels valued and part of the Bees family."
