Brentford has joined Women in Football’s corporate membership to strengthen its commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
Women in Football (WIF) is an organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting women's involvement in the world of football. The organisation aims to empower everyone with knowledge, expertise and collective support to create a stronger, brighter and more diverse future.
The membership allows the club to offer personal and professional development opportunities to staff, supporting women at Brentford to broaden their networks, expand their skills and attract individuals from a diverse pool.
Brentford joins the Premier League and Premier League Charitable Fund and Sky Sports who are also part of WIF's family of corporate members.
Brentford’s equity and inclusion director Kaammini Chanrai said: “As a corporate member of Women in Football we’re now looking forward to working together towards a shared goal of promoting and supporting women's involvement in the world of football at Brentford.
“We are particularly excited about the personal and professional growth opportunities this will provide for the women at the club. We recognise that there is much more for us to do in this space, but we feel this is a positive step welcoming more women at Brentford and supporting our initiatives with women’s players.”
Yvonne Harrison, Women in Football CEO, added: "We extend the warmest of welcomes to the staff of Brentford as the club joins our roster of corporate members. It's great to have you on board and we can't wait to start working with you!
"Joining Women in Football's corporate membership scheme is the perfect way for employers to make a meaningful commitment to gender equality, and diverse organisations are more effective – so this is great news both for the women working at Brentford and the club as a whole."
