International Women’s Day takes place annually on 8 March and the 2024 theme is inspire inclusion. It is a time to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about gender discrimination and take action to drive gender equality.
While International Women’s Day is just one day a year, we have made a commitment to ensure that at Brentford, we’re recognising the contributions of women across our staff, players, fans and community 365 days of the year.
The club is determined to ensure that this an ongoing conversation, continuing with our work this matchday.

#HerGameToo shirts in the warm-up
The Brentford squad will be wearing #HerGameToo shirts during their warm-up.
The Her Game Too campaign was founded by female supporters who are passionate about football and aims to eradicate sexism across the football and eliminate sexist abuse to female fans in person and online.

For fans using the Dugout bar on matchday, there will be a polaroid camera available for you to take your picture and the name of the women in your life that inspire you.

Head to your seat early to hear from Brentford Women players Rebekah Edwards and Eshe Davies as they discuss the team’s promotion push.

Brentford Women return to Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday 24 March for their league fixture against Ashmount Leigh.
The Bees will be aiming to break last season’s Gtech attendance record of 5,116 as they continue their march towards promotion.
Adult tickets are priced at £2, while all under-18s tickets are free (under-14s must be accompanied by an adult).
There will be live music in the Dugout before and after the game, as well as face painting.
Let Girls Play event at Gunnersbury Park
Also on Friday 8 March, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust are hosting 120 girls from secondary schools across Berkshire to take part in football activities all morning, with an appearance from Brentford Women’s first team and B team players.
The event is part of Let Girls Play’s ‘Biggest Ever Football Session’, a national campaign for schools to encourage girls' participation in football.
