Neal Maupay’s strike against Nottingham Forest has been nominated for January's Premier League Goal of the Month award.

Maupay’s incredible spin and volley was the match-winning goal in an entertaining clash that finished 3-2 at Gtech Community Stadium.

Maupay’s strike partner Ivan Toney netted a clever free-kick to equalise for the Bees after Danilo put Forest ahead inside five minutes.

Ben Mee headed home to give the west Londoners the lead in the second half, before Chris Wood did the same thing to level for the visitors on 65 minutes.

But Maupay, who now has five goals in his last five outings, settled the game three minutes later as the Bees won for the first time since 2 December.
