David Raya has been named in Spain’s 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Raya won his maiden international call-up for a pair of friendlies in March 2022. He made his debut with a start in a 2-1 win over Albania on 26 March and remained an unused substitute in the second match.

Raya won his second call-up for Spain's first round of 2022/23 UEFA Nations League A fixtures in June 2022 and was on the bench for all four matches.

Spain - who won the tournament in 2010 - are in Group E.

They begin the tournament with a game against Costa Rica on Wednesday 23 November, with fixtures against Germany (27 November) and Japan (1 December) to follow.
