Brentford’s Development Squad have arrived in Huddersfield to face The Terriers in the U21 Professional Development League Two South. This morning's match will be played at their opponent's PPG Canalside Training Ground, kick-off 11.30am.
Flemming Pedersen’s side are fresh off a 4-2 win against Barnsley at Griffin Park on Tuesday. Bradley Clayton scored two first half goals before James Carvell pulled one back for The Tykes. Nathan Fox then netted his first goal in a Brentford shirt and Herson Alves wrapped up the points a short time later. Charlie Harris scored a late consolation but it came moments before the final whistle. A full copy of this match can be found on the Club's official YouTube channel.
Today’s opponents Huddersfield Town are on a run of three games without a win. Earlier this week, The Terriers were narrowly defeated by Sheffield Wednesday, conceding an early goal in the second half and failing to recover. Our Under-18 team, featuring Chris Mepham and Reece Cole, were defeated 2-1 earlier this season thanks to goals from Rekeil Pyke and Jamie Spencer, all of whom have made the step up to Under-21 level for their respective clubs since that match. This match will likely feature both duos in a rematch of September's youth fixture.
