We are pleased to confirm the signing of central defender Edon Pruti who has joined Neil MacFarlane’s B Team on a one-year contract with a club option of an additional year from Slough Town for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old came through the ranks at Burnley and he has been able to gain experience in men’s football for the likes of Hanwell Town and Slough, who he joined in January 2022.
He made his first appearance for Slough in late January as they faced St Albans City. In total he has turned out 22 times for the National League South side and he netted his first goal in March this year against Maidstone United in what was a 2-1 win for the team.
Last season Edon helped Slough to a 13th place finish in the league as they collected 49 points from their 40 matches. He departs Slough with the club currently 15th in the league having earned seven points from their first six matches of the season.
The left footed defender has also been recognised at youth international level having turned out for Albania’s Under-18s and Under-19s in recent seasons.
Discussing Edon’s arrival, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Edon is a brilliant person and I think with the group being a very young squad this season, he will be able to add that little bit of experience because he’s played men’s football. He is a really good standard of defender and we’ll work tirelessly to help Edon to improve.
“He can help our group and we look forward to watching him kick on with his development over the course of the campaign.”
