Brentford’s 1-1 draw with Everton in Gameweek 4 was well-deserved and there’s now a quick turnaround into Gameweek 5, when we head to Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Vitaly Janelt was the Bees’ highest scorer, along with David Raya, who both got six points after good performances at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Remember, this week’s deadline is on Tuesday at 6pm, so don’t miss it!

If you're struggling for players to include in your squad, take a look at some of the options below...

Brentford

20220827 Vitaly Janelt Lap

Vitaly Janelt - £5.5m

The midfielder scored the equalising goal for the Bees at the weekend and could be a useful addition to your FPL squad when we travel to South London on Tuesday evening.

The German, who scored four goals last season, is a danger from set-pieces (as we saw at the Gtech on Saturday) and is also capable of creating too, which was highlighted by the two key passes he made when starting against Leicester City on the opening game of the season.

Rico Henry - £4.5m

Rico Henry has put in more consistently impressive this campaign, with the left-back affecting defensive and attacking phases of play with his incredible work rate. The two key passes he made against Everton highlighted his offensive output, and he stated after the game that he would like to contribute more in the final third.

The defender said: “I want to get more goals and more assists. I’m getting forward a lot, making the back stick and putting crosses in.”

If he continues to put in inspiring attacking performances, there’s no reason why he can’t add to the one assist he already has this campaign.

Best of the rest

Roberto Firmino

Roberto Firmino – £8.0m

Roberto Firmino put in one of the most impressive individual performances of the season when Liverpool beat Bournemouth 9-0, with the Brazilian scoring twice and providing two assists in the record-breaking win, which saw him rack up 22 points.

Jurgen Klopp’s side take on a Newcastle United side who have started the campaign well, but haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last three games in all competitions.

With Liverpool still without the injured Diogo Jota and suspended Darwin Nunez, Firmino will be keen to impress again on Wednesday night.

Raheem Sterling – £9.9m

Chelsea’s summer signing, Raheem Sterling, opened his account for the Blues as he scored a brace against Leicester, as Thomas Tuchel’s side won 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

The England international showed how prolific he can be during his time at Manchester City, where he scored 78 in 161 games during his final six seasons at the club.

And, against a Southampton side who he has scored seven goals against so far in his career, Sterling will be keen to add more to the double he scored in Gameweek 4.

Wildcards

Marc Cucurella

Marc Cucurella – £5.1m

Along with Sterling, Marc Cucurella is another of Chelsea’s new additions, arriving from Brighton in a £63m deal this summer. Considerably cheaper to transfer into your FPL squad at £5.1m, the Spanish international has been a regular for the Blues over the last few Gameweeks.

He has also looked dangerous in the final third when playing as a wing-back, registering two assists and having four shots in his three starts. He could prove to be a really shrewd addition to your side.

Goncalo Guedes – £6.0m

Wolves may have struggled for goals so far this season, having scored just twice in the Premier League but, when they travel to a Bournemouth side that shipped nine against Liverpool on Saturday, they will be confident of adding to their tally in Gameweek 5.

And one player who could be licking his lips at the prospect of the Cherries is Goncalo Guedes, who Bruno Lage signed from Valencia this summer after he scored 11 in La Liga last season.

He showed glimpses of what he can do over the last couple of games, having fired in five shots against Tottenham and provided the assist for Ruben Neves’ strike against Newcastle, and will be keen to get his first Wolves goal this week.
