Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken picked up his first Netherlands cap since March on Tuesday night, as they drew 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the UEFA Nations League.

Last featuring in an international friendly win against Scotland earlier this year, the 31-year-old made his eighth senior cap for his country.

Flekken’s fellow keeper Hákon Valdimarsson was also in action on Tuesday, with his Iceland side closing out their Nations League campaign with a 4-1 loss at Wales.

Andri Guðjohnsen opened the scoring before Craig Bellamy’s side turned the game around in Cardiff.

Valdimarsson now has 17 senior Iceland caps to his name, having played 13 successive games across all competitions dating back to November 2023.

Returning to the Nations League, Yehor Yarmoliuk was an unused substitute for Ukraine as they won 2-1 away from home against Albania.

Yarmoliuk was involved in the senior squad for the first time over the last week.

Elsewhere, Jayden Meghoma was also an unused substitute for England, who ended their European Under-19 Championship qualification with a goalless draw against Belgium.

That point ensured the Young Lions made it through to the elite qualifying round next spring.
