Speaking to iFollow Brentford ahead of today’s game against Barnsley, Kamohelo said: “I think I have adapted very well. Most importantly the football side is going very well for me and I want to keep that up to the end of the season. You have to give 100 per cent for every game and that takes a lot out of you. I have got used to that now. The intensity of everything, the speed of the game, and the man to man duels only makes the football exciting. I am happy with the amount of game-time that I have had. Hopefully, I get more but I understand that the first six months is about adapting. After that I can be a bit harder on myself when it comes to the games I have played, the assists I have done, and how I have influenced the game. For now, I have handled myself quite well but it is time to take it to the next level and I am ready to do that.”

The Bees go into this afternoon’s game in 13th place, ten points off the top six and 11 points clear of the bottom three after two wins, two draws, and two defeats in their last six. Despite the gap between The Bees and the Play-Off places, Kamohelo feels that there are still plenty of points to play for and plenty of chance for The Bees to climb that table.

“It has been an up and down season,” admitted Kamohelo. “We have lost out on a lot of points and that’s why we are in the position we are in. We could be much higher up. The important thing is that we are still doing the right things to win football games. It doesn’t matter if it’s been a loss or a draw, we haven’t changed and that’s important. We have struck to our principles and hopefully soon we will get six or seven wins in a row which will get us back up to where we belong. We feel we should be much higher but at the end of the day we are the ones who are responsible for where we are. There is still time: there are lots of games to play. We have to focus on what we do best and how we play. The results will follow. If we are patient enough to wait on the results then everything will come smoothly.”

Barnsley head to Griffin Park this afternoon having lost their last five in the Sky Bet Championship to slip to 20th place in the table. The Bees on the other hand are going for a tenth game unbeaten at home and a possible move back into the top half of the table. Kamohelo is looking forward to being back in front of the home fans and hopefully rewarding them with three points.

“It is always exciting to play at home,” said Kamohelo. “It doesn’t matter against who. We are expected to win the game and expected to give a good performance. They have been struggling and have a very young side. We have been up and down with our results. We expect every game to be hard and we don’t take any games for granted. As long as we do what we do we best, and play the way that we play, then I don’t think we will have a problem getting the three points.”
