Referee: Jeremy Simpson
Assistant Referees: Darren Blunden and Nigel Lugg
Fourth Official: Christopher O'Donnell
Lancashire-based referee Jeremy Simpson will take charge of Saturday's Emirates FA Cup tie at Griffin Park.
He has been handed nine previous Brentford assignments, starting with our dramatic 3-2 win at home to Portsmouth in April 2013. After officiating defeats against Middlesbrough and Derby County during the 2015/16 season, the drama returned the following campaign as he refereed our 1-1 draw at Aston Villa and our six-goal thriller at Griffin Park against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Last season, he took charge of our 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday, December's 2-1 victory over Norwich City, and our Good Friday draw against Sheffield United, which saw Ryan Woods and Jamal Blackman dismissed.
His only assignment this term was October's trip to Elland Road where we left with a point thanks to Neal Maupay's second-half penalty. That draw took his total record in Brentford games to two wins, four draws, and three defeats.
So far this season, Simpson has shown 97 yellow cards, and four reds, one of those to Luke Ayling during our visit to Elland Road, in 24 competitive fixtures.
Oxford United 2018/19
380 fouls – 1st in League One
56 yellow cards – 3rd in League One
1 red cards – 11th in League One
