Brentford FC Community Sports Trust are giving young players the chance to get in to Futsal. The Trust runs weekly sessions for players aged ten to 16-years-old that want to get in to the sport. Sessions are held every Tuesday in Ostlery and Friday in Cranford for anyone that wants to get playing.
Futsal a variant of association football played on a hard court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It is played between two teams of five players each on a hard court surface delimited by lines. Futsal is also played with a smaller, harder, low-bounce ball. The surface, ball, and rules together favour ball control and passing in small spaces.
Players in the Under-13 and Under-14 age groups can play at 6.30pm on Tuesdays at Osterley Sports Centre with Under-15 and Under-16 players having a session at 8pm. At Cranford Community Centre on Friday nights there are sessions for those Under-11, Under-12 and Under-13 players at 6pm with Under-14, Under-15 and Under-16 players at 7.30pm.
