The midfielder has been named in Aidy Boothroyd's squad for Under-21 European Championship qualifiers against Kosovo and Austria next month. The Young Lions currently sit top of Group C with four wins from four, level on points with Austria and six clear of third-placed Kosovo.
Both games are on the road with a trip to Pristina on Friday 4 September followed by a game in Ried im Innkreis against Austria four days later.
It's Josh's first selection in the Under-21 group, having represented England at Under-19 and Under-20 level. The 21-year-old midfielder has three caps at Under-19 level, with whom he won the 2017 European Championships, and a further nine at Under-20 level.
Josh's call-up comes off the back of an outstanding first full season in senior football where he netted ten goals, including a hat-trick against Luton Town, and contributed four assists in 47 matches. He was nominated for the November Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month and finished as one of four Bees players to net double figure goals over the campaign.
