Justin came through the youth ranks at Køge and was part of the Danish side’s Under-19 team last season. The Danish youth international spent the first part of pre-season on trial with Brentford B and moved to West London in mid-July. He has scored eight goals in 16 appearances for the B Team and has also made five First Team substitute appearances.
Justin made his First Team debut in the EFL Cup at Exeter City at the start of the season and made his Sky Bet Championship bow against Rotherham United in February. He played a key role in winning a penalty that enabled Jota to put The Bees 3-2 up in that match in the dying seconds. He has made three more Championship appearances, including one against Queens Park Rangers last month, and has been an unused substitute on four further occasions. The teenager has represented Denmark at Under-17 and Under-18 level. In total, he has nine international appearances to his credit, scoring once.
Robert Rowan, Brentford FC Head of Football Operations, said: “It’s been a very good year for Justin. He’s adapted well to living in a new country and playing football in a different style and in a different environment. He’s had a couple of setbacks through the year with hamstring injuries but when he’s been with the B Team his application has been excellent and he’s been rewarded by training with the First Team permanently and making the odd appearance for the First Team.
“There are areas that Justin needs to improve to reach his long-term goals which the technical staff and he are aware of but we’ve had a discussion about his short-term goals. Those are to make more sub appearances for the First Team and to break in to Denmark’s Under-21 national team. It’s probably too late for him to be identified as part of the squad for the European Under-21 Championships due to his lack of involvement at that level but he’s eligible for the next cycle. It will take a lot of commitment from him to achieve those goals but he’s definitely capable."
