Kamohelo Mokotjo said that Brentford let themselves down following Monday evening’s 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers. Lasse Vibe’s double looked to have secured The Bees a second Loftus Road victory in the space of four months, but two goals in stoppage time earned Ian Holloway’s side a share of the spoils.

“We could have easily seen that game out but it’s the choices that we’ve made in the last two minutes that have cost us,” admitted Kamohelo. “The mood wasn’t good in the dressing room after the game and that’s the way it should be after such a result.”

Having marked his return to the starting XI by playing a key role in Brentford’s second goal of the evening, the South African international told iFollow Brentford that he hopes to be given more First-Team opportunities during the weeks ahead:

“Whenever I’m called upon to play I make sure I give my best. There’s lots of competition and everyone wants to play but hopefully I’ll earn the Coach’s trust soon, get a few more games and find my flow. The most important thing is that the team keeps on picking up results.”

The General reserved special praise for the Brentford faithful with over 2,000 Bees fans having made the short trip to Shepherd’s Bush:

“The support is always great; I felt as though we let ourselves and the supporters down this evening because of the way we gave away the victory. It’s back to the drawing board but we saw a lot of good things and there’s still a long way to go – we have hope.”

With Fulham the visitors to TW8 on Saturday, the former FC Twente man said that the team maintain full belief in their approach:

“We’re showing a lot of good things. We know that we play different football compared to a lot of other teams in the league and we pride ourselves on that. We’re confident in what we’re doing and the direction in which we’re going.”
