Lachlan Brook has extended his loan spell with Sky Bet League Two side Crewe Alexandra. The winger originally joined the Railwaymen on a deal until January, but he will now remain with the Cheshire club until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
The B Team player headed to Cheshire in the summer of 2022 and he has played 20 times in all competitions.
The 21-year-old has also found the net twice, scoring his first for the club on his debut as Crewe beat Rochdale 2-1 away from home. He also scored in early December as Crewe faced Newport County in South Wales in what was a 2-1 defeat for the side.
Lachlan’s last appearance for the side came on New Year’s Day as he helped Crewe to a 1-0 win over Tranmere Rovers in a match where he played 80 minutes. He will now look to feature for the club as they host AFC Wimbledon on Saturday at the Mornflake Stadium.
The Australian youth international first arrived in West London in October 2020 from his boyhood club Adelaide United. He worked his way up the ranks to break into the first team with the Reds and then made the move to Brentford B where he made 19 appearances in his debut season. Midway through the 2021/22 campaign Lachlan headed back to Adelaide for a loan spell until the end of the season where he gained significant minutes at Coopers Stadium.
Having returned to London ahead of the 2022/23 campaign following more international minutes for Australia’s Under-23s in the Asian Cup, Lachlan then headed to Cheshire for his loan spell with Crewe.
