THE GROUND

Keepmoat Stadium Stadium Way Lakeside Doncaster DN4 5JW

Doncaster Rovers moved into the Keepmoat Stadium in 2006.

The 15,231 capacity ground has a "bowl" design but Brentford supporters are expected to be housed in the Case Construction North Stand at one end of the stadium, which holds 3,344.

THE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

It is approximately 170 miles from Griffin Park to the Keepmoat Stadium by road, travelling via the A406, M1, M18 and A6182.

There are around 1,000 car parking spaces at the stadium, which cost £5.

The nearest station is Doncaster, which is served by East Coast Trains, from London Euston.

With the stadium two miles from the station, it is recommended to travel via taxi.

The Supporters' Association will be running coaches to every game this season - details of times and prices will be announced in due course.

THE FIXTURES

The Bees will travel to Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday October 20.

Brentford will welcome Doncaster Rovers to Griffin Park on Saturday April 27, the last fixture of the season.

THE RECENT HISTORY

Relegation to League One after a five-year absence is the first downturn in the club's recent history.

Promotion from the Conference in 2003 then saw a hugely successful period, with the club leaving their old Belle Vue ground for the impressive Keepmoat Stadium in 2006.

The followed that up with promotion to the Championship a year later.

Striker Billy Sharp's transfer to Southampton in the last transfer window was a blow to the club's chances of avoiding relegation and they eventually finished in bottom place.

THE MANAGER

Dean Saunders was appointed as Rovers manager in September 2011 after the dismissal of Sean O'Driscoll earlier that month.

The former Welsh international striker spent three years as manager of Wrexham, guiding them to near the top of the Conference before Rovers approached him.

His career spanned nineteen years, most notably at Derby County, Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Bradford City was his last professional club, and this is where his coaching career began.

He was assistant to the late Gary Speed for the Welsh International side from 2007-2010, running concurrently with his post at Wrexham.

THE TOP SCORER

Billy Sharp left half-way through the season in a million pound move to Southampton but still ended the season as Rovers top goalscorer.

The 26-year-old finished his career at the Keepmoat Stadium with 40 goals from 82 appearances, after an unsuccessful period at Sheffield United.

He will now start life in the Premiership as his nine goals helped the Saints to promotion on the last day of the season.

THE KEY MEN

Dean Saunders has been busy in the transfer market, making a total of six new captures so far.

Midfielder David Syers became the first summer signing, in a two-year contract from Bradford City.

Despite entering league football at a relatively late age from non-league football, his form for The Bantams has been impressive, with ten goals in 55 appearances.

Welsh international winger David Cotterill has also signed on a two year contract from Wigan Athletic.

His previous clubs include Bristol City, Sheffield United, Swansea City, Portsmouth (loan) and Barnsley.

Former scholars Liam Wakefield, Jon Maxted, Jordan Ball, Jake McCormick and Paddy Mullen have also signed professional contracts.

Defender Mustapha Dumbuya played for Sierra Leone this month in their African Cup of Nations qualifying match.

The 24-year-old has made over 40 appearances for Rovers since graduating from their academy, spending a month on loan with Crystal Palace in January 2012.

James O'Connor enters his seventh season with Doncaster Rovers, making over 200 appearances for the club.

His former clubs include Aston Villa and AFC Bournemouth, where his single season at Dean Court yielded 39 appearances before a £130,000 transfer to Rovers in May 2006.

Another former Cherry is Brian Stock - a full Welsh International who joined Rovers in January 2007 for £150,000 from Preston North End.

The 30-year-old started his career at AFC Bournemouth, making 145 league appearances.
