The weather affected large swathes of the weekend’s football programme and only one of Brentford’s players out on loan saw any action.

Antonio German played for Gillingham as they beat Accrington Stanley 1-0 on Saturday.

The Development Squad striker joined the promotion-chasing npower League Two side on loan at the end of last month.

He came on as a 64th minute substitute in Gillingham’s home win.

The Gills scored a first half goal which was enough to give them all three points.

Gillingham remain top of npower League Two with six games remaining.

Antonio was the only Brentford player to get on the pitch this weekend.

Paul Hayes is on loan at Crawley Town, joining the Sussex side earlier this month.

Crawley’s game against Crewe Alexandra was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Brentford scholars Josh Clarke and Tyrell Miller-Rodney are currently with Carshalton Athletic, of the Ryman Premier League, on work experience.

Carshalton lost 2-0 to Whitehawk this week but neither Josh nor Tyrell was involved as they were named as substitutes for Brentford’s Development Squad against Queens Park Rangers yesterday.

Development Squad defender Alfie Mawson is with Maidenhead United, of the Blue Square Bet South while Youth Team central defender Stefan Tomasevic is on a work experience placement with Northwood, of the Evo-Stick Southern League Central Division.

Maidenhead were due to play Chelmsford City and Northwood were set to face Royston Town but both matches were postponed.
