Brentford loanee Frank Onyeka picked up an assist in Augsburg’s 3-0 win over Schalke in the DFB-Pokal second round on Tuesday night.

The Nigerian set up the opening goal for Alexis Claude-Maurice on 26 minutes at WWK Arena.

Late goals from Arne Maier, who replaced Onyeka with just under an hour played, and Samuel Essende secured progression for the hosts.

Ellery Balcombe was in goal for St Mirren, who came from behind to beat St Johnstone 3-1 in the Scottish Premiership.

Benjamin Kimpioka gave the visitors an early lead but Scott Tanser equalised on 30 minutes.

Mark O’Hara turned the game around with just under an hour played before Jonah Ayunga made sure of the points late on.

That win brought a run of four straight losses to an end and lifted Stephen Robinson's side to seventh in the table.

Michael Olakigbe started for Wigan Athletic in their televised 2-2 draw away at Blackpool in League One on Monday night.

Dion Rankine and Matt Smith put the Latics 2-0 up before a Jason Kerr own goal brought the hosts back into the game before half-time.

Blackpool’s pressure told late on, with a second own goal, this time from Will Aimson, seeing them snatch a point in the 92nd minute.

Olakigbe was denied by Tangerines goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell on three occasions before being replaced by Silko Thomas in the 58th minute.

Tristan Crama wasn’t involved in the matchday squad for Exeter City, who defeated Bristol Rovers 3-2 away from home in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

That success made it three victories from a possible three in the competition, with the Grecians progressing to the second round as winners of Southern Group G.

In Hungary, Val Adedokun wasn't involved for Diósgyóri, who were knocked out of the Hungarian Cup at the fourth round stage by Fehérvár following a 2-1 defeat.
