Brentford loanee Frank Onyeka helped Augsburg defeat Borussia Dortmund on Saturday afternoon.

Donyell Malen gave the visitors an early lead, but Alexis Claude Maurice netted a brace to secure a 2-1 win in the Bundesliga.

Onyeka, who could feature for his loan side again on Tuesday night when they host Schalke in the DFB-Pokal second round, played 82 minutes before being replaced by Arne Maier.

Myles Peart-Harris started once again for Swansea, who fell to a 1-0 loss at home to Millwall in the Championship. The Swans dominated possession but Casper De Norre struck the only goal of the game late on.

North of the border, Ellery Balcombe impressed in goal for St Mirren, who were narrowly beaten 2-1 at Rangers. Mohamed Diomande and Václav Černŷ scored for the hosts either side of Alex Gogič’s 26th-minute strike.

In League One, Tristan Crama played the full game as Exeter lost 2-0 at Huddersfield. Crama could be back in action on Tuesday night, when the Grecians travel to Bristol Rovers in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

Elsewhere in the third tier, Michael Olakigbe and Wigan Athletic will be aiming to bring an end to a three-game winless run on Monday night. The Latics face Blackpool in an 8pm kick-off live on Sky Sports.

In Hungary, Val Adedokun picked up another 90 minutes for Diósgyór, who drew 1-1 away from home against Puskás Akadémia.

Goalkeeper Ben Winterbottom was on the bench for AFC Fylde in their 5-0 home loss to Altrincham in the National League.
