Brentford loanees Tristan Crama and Michael Olakigbe came up against each other in Sky Bet League One on Saturday, as Exeter City travelled to Wigan Athletic.
Crama played the full 90 minutes for the Grecians, while Olakigbe was introduced in the second half by Wigan manager Shaun Maloney, in a goalless draw at DW Stadium.
Crama impressed at the heart of Exeter’s back three, completing 66 of his 71 passes (93 per cent), making four clearances and winning three duels.
The centre-back spent last season on loan at Bristol Rovers and has been ever present for the Grecians this term. Gary Caldwell’s side sit 13th having taken 10 points from their opening seven games.
Olakigbe gained experience at Peterborough United during the 2023/24 campaign and has played two games for the 16th-placed Latics.

Midfielder Frank Onyeka was in from the start as Augsburg lost 4-0 to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
Benjamin Šeško netted a brace inside the opening 15 minutes, and Xavi Simons and Loïs Openda netted after the break.
Onyeka has played three games for Augsburg since joining the club on a season-long loan from Brentford on Deadline Day.

Ben Winterbottom’s Fylde were beaten 2-0 by National League leaders Barnet on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Winterbottom was beaten in the 57th minute. Zak Brunt’s ball into the box fell kindly for Nicke Kabamba, who rounded the Brentford loanee.
Barnet doubled their lead in stoppage time, when Ben Coker’s cross from the left picked out Callum Stead.
