Brentford Football Club can confirm the signing of forward player Lucias Vine. The 18-year-old striker, who was most recently with Aldershot Town, will join up with Neil MacFarlane’s Brentford B and he has signed a one-year contract with a Club option of an additional year.
Lucias joins having spent the last couple of seasons with National League side Aldershot, and he also spent time on loan last season with Southern League Premier Division South side Hartley Wintney FC to gain experience in men’s football. The young forward managed to get himself into the match day squad with The Shots on a handful of occasions last season and he will now continue his development with the B Team in West London.
Lucias linked up with the young Bees for a trial period this summer and he scored recently for the side in their fixtures with Swansea City Under-21s and Fulham Under-21s.
Discussing adding Lucias to his side for the new campaign, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Lucias did particularly well for us on trial. He is a strong player who brings good link play to the team as he brings other players into the game which is a really good asset.
“We feel that we can develop him over the course of the season, as we have done with our strikers in previous years. We’ll continue to push him to try and get him into a really good position and we look forward to working with him.”
