Luka Racic has left Brentford and joined SønderjyskE.
The 23-year-old completed the switch to the Danish second tier side late last night, Wednesday 31 August.
He joins SønderjyskE for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance, ahead of the closure of the Danish Transfer Window.
The Brentford B graduate leaves us after four years in West London. He joined from FC Copenhagen and progressed through to our First Team after a year. He will return to his home country to join the team currently third in the Danish second tier following their relegation last season.
Luka leaves having played nine games for the Bees, six in the Sky Bet Championship, and scored one goal.
He spent time on loan at Northampton Town, playing ten times for the Cobblers, and with HB Køge last season. He has also played 28 games at youth international level for Denmark.
Phil Giles, Brentford FC Director of Football, said: “Luka was one of our early B Team signings and showed the value of that pathway when he was able to step into the First Team as required.
“His chances have been limited in recent years and this is an opportunity for him to make a fresh start. He showed last season, when he was with Køge, that he can play at that level, and I am sure he will be of great value to SønderjyskE. Everyone at Brentford wishes Luka all the best for the future.”
