Brentford B have signed Mads Roerslev Rasmussen from FC Copenhagen, subject to international clearance.
The Danish right-back has signed a two-year contract at Griffin Park, with an optional 12-month extension clause, for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old joined FCK as a youngster and came through the youth academy to make his First Team debut in October 2016. He scored his first goal for the club against Jammerbugt FC that same day.
Mads has had two loan spells since, joining Swedish side Halmstads BK for two months in 2017. He played a single game for them before returning to sign a new contract until 2021. That same season, he went on to make three Superliga appearances for FCK. Last December, the fullback joined Vendsyssel FF and played six games in the Danish third division.
Since 2015, Mads has played youth international football for Denmark. He has over 30 caps between everything from Under-17 to Under-21 level.
B Team Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: "We welcome Mads to Brentford. The staff and I look forward to working with him over the coming months. Both Thomas and Brian have worked with him in Denmark, and speak highly of Mads.
"We hope to bring out his potential and give him the opportunity to achieve his goals with us. He is a good addition to the squad and we wish him all the very best at our club."
