The Opposition

Milan's youth setup will be another big game for the members of Brentford B's squad. Usually near the top of the youth leagues in Italy, the youngsters of AC Milan often go on to bigger and better things in teams from across Europe. All three of the Club's record appearance makers came through this academy process; Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi and Alessandro Costacurta.

Most recently, Italy's youngest ever capped goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma came through three levels of the Rossoneri youth. Newest member of the squad, Patrick Cutrone, has started his first term in the First Team after scoring 14 goals in 19 appearances for the youth team.

The highest level of the youth squad, the Under-19s - known as the Primavera - train within the walls of the First Team facility, The Milanello. Boasting equipment and pitches of the highest quality, the Italian national team often train there as well.

Former Italian international and 2006 World Cup winner Gennaro Gattuso is currently in charge of the Primavera squad at AC, having left a job in Serie B as recently as last season. Previous coaches in the role include Filippo Inzaghi, Cristian Brocchi and Fabio Capello.

Likely to play some role in the game on Saturday are such names as Mattia El Hilali, the captain, and Alessandro Guarnone, the goalkeeper who has appeared on the First Team bench in Serie A this campaign. A lot of the squad have youth international experience, including talented fullback Alberto Barazzetta, who is only 16 years old.

A note on Brentford B

The entire travelling squad of Brentford B are available after Wednesday's game with Atalanta, although Ali Coote remains an uncertainty because of knock that saw him miss the 2-2 draw.
